Sarah Davidson – Owner
Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Sarah always knew that she wanted to work for herself and run her own show. After many years running events for various organizations around Madison, and seeing an opportunity within the local industry, she started HUE in February of 2015 and hasn’t looked back since. She loves getting to know each and every client that works with our business, and plays whatever part may be needed to ensure their collaboration is a success.
Sarah has over half a decade of experience working in the Madison wedding and event industry. This includes previous oversight of the rental program at Madison Children’s Museum, aiding in plans for numerous non-profit events, and planning her own wedding(s) in Mexico and Madison. She and her team have coordinated dozens events from start to finish for groups of 30-700 people including setup and décor, vendor logistics, guest experience and more.
In addition to HUE being her baby, Sarah also has her own real baby – daughter Lila, born March 2017 with her husband, Kevin. They along with their cat Maya, live along the Yahara river and enjoy great Madison beer and lake life as much as they possibly can.
Jessie-Rae Starr – Event Consultant
Jessie first met Sarah when they were co-workers at the Madison Children’s Museum. While working together at the museum, Jessie was the point person for day-of event logistics with vendors, coordinating setup, supervising event staff, and making sure everything else went off without a hitch. The first time Sarah asked Jessie to assist with a HUE event, she lept at the chance!
Jessie is a self-confessed plant and floral nerd and appreciates beautiful décor design and details which can really set an event apart. She’s constantly looking a social media and other resources for new inspiration and ideas. She loves helping create a stress-free day so everyone can focus on making their day memorable without having to worry about a thing!
Loni Farmer – Event Consultant
Loni has come from a variety of experiences with event and wedding planning. Starting out in Denver, CO, she interned with Denver Arts & Venues assisting with logistics for large scale festivals and then moved on to the catering and sales manager at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. During her time at Red Rocks, Loni organized all aspects of planning for private events, concert night VIP parties, and, most importantly, weddings from the original sale and contracting process through day-of coordination. She then moved to Madison, WI to pursue the love of her life (and now fiancé) and happily took a wedding coordinator position with the Majestic Theatre downtown where she met Sarah and they became quick friends.
Loni has since moved on from weddings to corporate sales, but her heart felt something was missing. When Sarah offered her to chance to join the HUE team, she very obviously (and graciously) took the offer. This allows her to not only continue to do work she loves on the side, but also to do work with a business that supports serious #girlbosses. She is very excited to meet you and help make your wedding vision a reality!!
